Noah Wyle is locked and loaded to star in the independent drama Shot.

Variety reported that Roswell veteran Jeremy Kagan will direct. Kagan also came up with the story, which will be adapted for the screen by William Lamborn and Anneke Campbell.

Shot tells the story of an innocent bystander and his fiancée. Their lives are shaken when a teenager unintentionally shoots the bystander.

According to The Wrap, Global Genesis Group will be selling the film at the American Film Market. The group’s global IP manager Omar Kaczmarczyk is representing the film.

Wyle has been active on TV as of late, having starred in Robert Rodat and Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi series Falling Skies since 2011. He will also star in The Librarians, reprising his role as Flynn Carsen from the popular TV movie franchise of the same name. In 2015, he will appear in the event miniseries To Appomattox, which focuses on the emotional lives of Civil War generals and their families.

Production on Shot will begin in February.
