The love interest in Taylor Swfit’s “Blank Space” music video, Sean O’Pry, is getting a lot of attention since the video’s release this week.
O’Pry, a model and actor, has now revealed he was one of the hopefuls who tried out for the role of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey.
"I read for it," he told Access Hollywood about Jamie Dornan’s part, which was first given to Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam before he pulled out.
"I think it was more the acting ability at the time," he admitted as the reason he didn’t get it. "Congrats to Jamie [Dornan] though. I mean, Jamie's so nice… it was cool to read [for] it."
Now that he has a bigger platform for potential acting opportunities because of the video, he said he’s been really honing in on his craft.
"For the last year, I've been doing serious studies, so it's quite cool," he said at getting better at acting. "Right now, I'm just studying. Not reading anything or going out on anything – I'm just trying to get better."
