Over the summer, there was word that Universal wanted to reboot its iconic monster movie franchise, but not much since. Now, we know that the studio does at least have a plan for a movie to follow up The Mummy.

A date for an Untitled Universal Monster Franchise Film popped up on Box Office Mojo’s schedule today. The film will be released on April 21, 2017.

Obviously, it’s not known what monster will be the focus of this film or who is even working on a script. Back in July, Universal did hire Alex Kurtzman (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious) to oversee this new universe.

It will kick off with a new Mummy movie directed by Kutzman, to be released on June 24, 2016, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal’s classic roster of horror movie monsters include Frankenstein’s Monster, the wolf Man, The Invisible Man, Dracula, The Mummy and the Bride of Frankenstein. The Creature from the Black Lagoon should also be included in the group, although he didn’t come in until the 1950’s. The other monsters were introduced back in the 1930s, helping the studio survive the Great Depression.

The studio recently released the Legendary production Dracula Untold, which isn’t expected to be brought into the Monsters universe. That film only grossed $53 million domestically, but added over $136 million overseas.
