Writer/director Wes Anderson is coming off his most financially successful film to date with this year's The Grand Budapest Hotel. So naturally, the question of what the auteur will do next is on many people's mind. While nothing is official at the moment, the filmmaker is working on some projects. Turns out, his next one may be his first animated movie since 2009's Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Speaking at the Lisbon and Estoril Film Festival, c7nema found that he may have mentioned his latest movie in the Q & A session. While details are skim at the moment, he is considering returning to the world of stop-motion to tell a six-vignette film inspired by Vittorio De Sica and his work The Gold of Naples.

It's not clear if this is similar or the same film that he said he was working on back in the spring, when he told The Playlist that he was working on a "complicated" and "vaguely avant-garde" film with his Darjeeling Limited/Moonrise Kingdom co-writer Roman Coppola. He described that project by noting that he wasn't sure if it would gel.

Whichever film he decides to make next, there's no denying that it will find an audience.
