Authorities apprehended a man who they believe may have killed two homeless men and a female hairdresser in downtown Atlanta.

CNN noted that police said Aeman Lovel Presley, 34, was arrested in connection with the slayings.

Investigators have been puzzled over the shooting deaths of the homeless victims because they were shot multiple times, execution style, while they slept. They also did not possess any material items that someone specifically targeted in a robbery would.

"A lot of our shootings involve robbery,” said detective David Quinn. “A lot of our shootings involve someone making good on an old debt or some kind of revenge factor. I don't know why someone would shoot two defenseless men."

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that on Friday, police said that they believe Presley may also have been involved in the killing of Karen Pearce, 44, a popular hairstylist. Pearce was fatally shot as she walked to her car after eating dinner at a downtown restaurant.

So far, Presley has been charged with two counts of murder.
