A manhunt for the Pennsylvania man responsible for killing six relatives on Monday ended with the discovery of his body.
Bradley W. Stone’s body was announced by Montgomery County District Attorney Vetri Ferman to have been found, according to the New York Times. His body was discovered in a wooded area by his home on Tuesday afternoon at around 1:30 pm. Ferman said that Stone died by his own hand, with a knife being found near his body.
Stone was suspected of killing six people related to him, CNN reported. The victims included his ex-wife and former in-laws living in different towns in Pennsylvania. Ferman didn’t explain what motives were behind his actions and killings.
NYT also reported that the U.S Marines said that Stone served in the Marines as a reservist, even being sent to Iraq for two months in 2008. He was discharged from the Marines in 2011. Stone and his wife filed for divorce in 2009 and had been in a custody battle over their children the following years.
