Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are reportedly engaged after only seven months together, despite her public comments about not wanting a family.
They were first seen out publicly together in May of this year after they were set up by Madden’s sister-in-law Nicole Richie.
A source told Us Weekly of Diaz, 42, and Madden, 35, "Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them.”
The insider added that he “always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."
Sources also say that Diaz wants to have children with Madden, despite her comments to Esquire in July.
“It’s so much more work to have children,” she said. “To have lives beside your own that you are responsible for- I didn’t take that on. That did make things easier for me. A baby- that’s all day, every day for eighteen years.”
