Rock 'n' roll band, Creed, was once at the top of the charts with hits like "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open," but the band has since faded from fame and the charts. Now, front man Scott Stapp has announced that he'll be starting a crowdfunding campaign to help jump start his next solo project.

Alternative Press reported that this news comes only days after Stapp posted a bizarre video online claiming that he was homeless, broke and was the victim of some plot by the music industry and IRS.

Stapp claimed to be sober in the video but his wife recently filed for divorce because of abuse of “amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids.” Stapp's son took to Twitter to say that his father had been on a “nine week binge.”

The crowdfunding campaign has a goal of raising $480,000. Stapp is asking his fans to help raise the funds for what would be his third solo project. The campaign, which is hosted on Fundly has 156 supporters who have raised $677 dollars. The crowdfunding is set to continue for 118 days.
