New details are starting to surface about the alleged fight that occurred between Drake and Diddy on Sunday night in Miami, which reportedly sent Drake to the hospital.
It was first believed that Diddy punched Drake over the Sean John entrepreneur’s longtime girlfriend Cassie, but it’s now being reported that the fight was over Drake’s song “0 to 100/The Catch Up.”
The rights to the song, which was just nominated for two Grammys, is what they’re fighting over.
TMZ reports the two saw each other for the first time since the song came out on Sunday at LIV nightclub, and when Diddy confronted him about it he was brushed off.
Drake recorded the song despite Diddy stalling on a decision if he wanted to record it himself. When the song did really well on the charts, there was some resentment on Diddy’s behalf. However, what really angered him was his belief that Drake was “disrespecting” him by blowing him off.
Moreover, the hospitalization wasn’t necessarily because of how hard Diddy hit him. He reportedly hit his shoulder, which revitalized a prior injury.
