Frozen director Jennifer Lee is playfully apologizing to all parents for the song “Let It Go” and its contagious nature. Mostly, she’s sorry for the countless times the song was played on repeat by their kids.

The film is now the highest-grossing animated film in history and has won Lee an Academy Award. As she relishes in the success of the film and its songs, she’s also realizing she owes some parents an apology for putting them through the countless repeats.

“A year ago, I'd meet people who, when they found out who I was, they'd say, 'Oh, we love the songs! We sing them all the time.' Now they're like, 'Yep, we're still listening to those songs.’ I’ve gone from, 'Thank you,' to, 'Sorry!' " she laughed to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Let It Go” won songwriter Robert Lopez an Oscar for best original song. It’s famously performed by Idina Menzel, who also voices Elsa in the film.

Frozen has grossed over $1.2 billion at the international box office and it’s the fifth highest grossing film of all time.
