Jamie Dornan got down and dirty as research for his role as Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey, revealing he actually went to a sex dungeon to see what it was like.
Dornan, who plays a dominant in the film based off of E.L. James’ best-selling trilogy, said he told the people there not to hold back.
"I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did…whatever they were into," he told Elle UK. "I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives, I was like: 'Come on guys I know I'm not paying for this but I am expecting a show.'"
Dornan recently became a father, so it was night and day coming from that environment then back home to a new born.
“It was an interesting evening,” he said. “Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards... I had a long shower before touching either of them."
Back in July, Dornan appeared on the Today Show with Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele, and referred to their sex scenes in the film as “sexual acrobatics.”
Fifty Shades will hit theaters Valentine's Day 2015.
