Kerry Washington is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros. to star in a thriller for the big screen. She will co-star with Kate Hudson.

The film is titled Unforgettable and will be directed by Belle helmer Amma Asante. It tells the story of a man whose current wife (Washington) is harassed by his ex-wife (Hudson).

Sources for Variety say that the talks with both actresses is in the very early stages, but the studio is really working hard to get them.

Producers are Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan, with Andy Fischel and Racheline Benveniste keeping an eye on it for the studio. The script will be written by Christina Hodson.

Washington currently stars on ABC’s Scandal, which has earned her two Emmy nominations. She was last seen on the big screen in a supporting part in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, but, as The Hollywood Reporter notes, Unforgettable would really be her first big movie role since Scandal took off.

As for Hudson, she just filmed Barry Levinson’s Rock the Kasbah with Bill Murray. She was recently seen in Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here and Good People with James Franco.
