Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett appeared on the Tonight Show on Wednesday night, where the “Applause” singer told a story about advice she once took from a stripper.

Apologizing to her Cheek to Cheek collaborator, Gaga told Fallon and the audience about an interaction she had with a stripper at the Clairmont Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia.

She revealed the theme was “Where Strippers Go to Die,” speculating the woman was 65 or 70 years old, Celebuzz reports.

She “was stripping and she was fabulous, and she was doing something to 'Poker Face'. And she had no panties on. So she leans over and she goes, 'You know that Lady Gaga, She can really sing. If she took all those clothes off, and she just sang, she would be great!'

She added, “So you know, maybe in some ways, I took her advice.”

Gaga has gushed about her friendship with Bennett, who is 60 years her senior.

“Tony showed me what the elegant and old-school cats were like. Our recording sessions were beautiful, memorable. We’ve built a deep friendship. There are 60 years between us, but when we sing together there is no distance,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.
