Some people can be a real Scrooge during the holiday season, but they usually don’t disrupt air travel. But one particular Scrooge did on Tuesday and was even kicked off his flight from LaGuardia airport in New York because of it.
The man was going to board an American Airlines flight to Dallas and, as an attendant checked people in, she was wishing his other passengers a “Merry Christmas.” When the woman gave him the standard holiday greeting, the man exploded in rage.
“You shouldn’t say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas,” he told her, reports the New York Post. When she asked him what she should say, his response was just “Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!’”
When he got on the plane, another flight attendant dared to wish him a “Merry Christmas,” so he yelled “Don’t say ‘Merry Christmas’” again. Then, he started giving the plane staff a speech and just wouldn’t quit.
Eventually, the staff got him off the plane, with the other passengers reportedly applauding the move, notes PIX11.
Hopefully, the man didn't yell at his family when they wished him a merry Christmas.
