Police officers in Lowell, Michigan really got into the holiday spirit and pulled over citizens not to give out traffic tickets, but rather some Christmas gifts. Their gift-giving efforts can be seen in an awesome new viral video.

As KGO noted, in the video, an officer chats with each person being stopped and asks them things like how their holiday shopping is going and what their children want for Christmas. Then, he secretly radios the information to his colleagues who find the coveted items and deliver them straight to the unknowing person’s car.

"Most of the contact police officers have with the general public is on a traffic stop,” Police Chief Steve Bukala says in the 3:46 clip. "And you can find out a lot about that person in that 10-15 minute window, whether they're having a good day, bad day or a horrible day. Then, we got this idea, 'what if we could change that person's day in real time? What if we could change that person's day right now?'"

Adweek pointed out that the good deeds are part of Christian network UP TV's Uplift Someone campaign produced by videographer Rob Bliss.
