Prince William and Kate Middleton's first U.S. trip continued Monday, allowing people in two major U.S. cities a chance to glimpse the royal duo.

The visiting dignitaries (who left adorable baby George at home) are keeping quite busy for their three-day journey that allowed no time to get over jet lag.

The Guardian reported the agenda that started on Sunday included a private dinner organized by the American Friends of the Royal Foundation. (The American media was stunned that William wasn't wearing a jacket, but Kate's pregnancy coat has earned rave reviews.)

Today, the royal duo separated. Prince William flew to the White House to discuss further U.S. involvement in the fight against illegal wildlife trading. The ever-fashionable Kate, who is expecting her second child, visited a local child development center with Chirlane McCray, New York city's mayor's wife, according to ABC News .

In the evening, the couple is expected to watch an NBA game in Brooklyn.

Of course, this isn't a vacation. The White House has said that this whirlwind trip "underscores the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom."
