Despite Sony pulling The Interview from theaters before its Christmas Day release, two theaters in Georgia and Texas say they will follow through with its release.

When five of the major cinemas announced they would be canceling the Seth Rogen and James Franco film’s release, Sony pulled the plug.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Plaza Theater in Atlanta and The Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas/Fort Worth both confirmed they will be screening the film on Christmas Day as planned.

Founder of the Alamo Drafthouse, Tim League, tweeted on Tuesday, “Breaking news: Sony has authorized screenings of THE INTERVIEW on Christmas Day. We are making shows available within the hour. #Victory.”

TheWrap reports Sony will soon announce their conclusion of reversing their controversial decision to cancel the film’s release.

Sony did confirm that they would be releasing the film in some way, with rumors swirling they would stream it on Crackle, BitTorrent or YouTube.
