USA Today reported that Swift's 1989 will be at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts and is on pace to become the top selling album of 2014.
This will be the six non-consecutive week at No. 1 for 1989, which features the chart topping singles "Blank Space" and "Shake it Off."
Billboard reported that the main competition for Swift's 1989 is still the soundtrack to Frozen which was released last year in theaters.
The Frozen soundtrack has sold 3.46 million this year and 1989 is right behind with 3.36 million copies. At this rate and how both albums are projected to do sales wise, 1989 will likely pass Frozen and become the top selling album of 2014.
Swift is planning a worldwide tour in 2015 in support of 1989. A full list of tour dates can be found on TaylorSwift.com.
