The popular video game Minecraft is getting a story-driven game made by Telltale Games.

Telltale, the developer of episodic adventure and story-based games such as their versions of The Walking Dead and the new Game of Thrones, announced on their company blog that they will make a story-based game based off of Mojang’s popular game. The game will be titled Minecraft: Story Mode.

Kotaku reported that Mojang said that the new story-based game won’t create a canonical mythology for Minecraft, but rather utilize characters and aspects of the game’s world in its story. While Telltale will develop the game, Mojang reportedly said they also have some degree of contribution in the project.

Telltale said that Minecraft: Story Mode would utilize choices players made to influence the story. No other plot or gameplay details were revealed, but the company stated the game would be released in 2015 on home consoles and mobile platforms, among other technology.

More details about the new Minecraft game were explained in an interactive news release on Mojang’s website.
