Knight of Cups, the latest film from director Terrence Malick, will finally be shown to the public. It is among the first films scheduled to be shown at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival in February.

The first slate of major world premieres was announced today by festival organizers. In addition to these films, it was also announced that Disney and Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella will have its international premiere during the festival, but out of competition.

Knight of Cups is easily the most anticipated film on the schedule so far. Announced back in November 2011, the film will be the first of two that Malick has finished that will see the light of day. It stars Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett.

The second film Malick has completed was initially called Lawless and stars Ryan Gosling, Bale, Portman and Michael Fassbender. At the moment, that movie has no title, but is about a love triangle with the Austin music scene as the background.

Malick is best known for Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line and The Tree of Life. His previous film, To The Wonder, starred Ben Affleck, but was not widely released in theaters.

Other films set to debut during the festival include Andrew Haigh’s 45 Years with Charlotte Rampling, Andreas Dresen’s Als wir träumten (As We Were Dreaming) and Peter Greenway’s Einstein in Guanajuato.

The festival starts on Feb. 5 and continues through Feb. 15.
