Authorities said that three people were hospitalized after a shooting took place outside of an Oregon high school on Friday afternoon.
The Associated Press noted that Portland police have said that two males and one female were shot outside of Rosemary Anderson High School and the shooting could be gang related. The victims are all thought to be students at the alternative school and have been transported to Legacy Emanuel Health Center for treatment.
Law enforcement officials combed through the school to make sure there were no additional victims.
The shooting was reported shortly after 12 p.m. local time and area schools including Portland Community College's Cascade campus and Jefferson High School were put on lockdown.
Rosemary Anderson High School serves multiple districts for at-risk students who have had disciplinary or academic problems at more than one traditional high school. The school has been in operation for more than 30 years and is not overseen by Portland Public Schools.
CNN reported that shooter or shooters fled the scene after injuring the victims. So far, police do not have any suspects in custody.
