The United Nations began meetings in Peru on climate change on Monday.
Talks for completing a new climate change agreement by the end of 2015 began the two-week UN meetings, according to BBC News. This comes off of events for dealing with climate change within the previous three months.
The U.S National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration had also revealed that worldwide temperatures were much hotter this year than in previous years.
BBC News also reported that such events included protests for action against climate change in cities worldwide in September, a previous UN meeting where world leaders agreed to create a new plan to the issue, and even the U.S and China revealing together that they would reduce carbon emissions.
This meeting in Lima, Peru is supposed to assist in creating important parts to a negotiated agreement on climate change around the world, according to Reuters. Also, a heavier decreasing of emissions that contribute to climate change is also being discussed. The agreement is supposed to come to fruition in Paris next year and go into effect in almost six years.
