Authorities said a woman was found dead in an apparent homicide inside her Waltham apartment on Wednesday morning.
According to the Boston Globe, the female victim, who is thought to be in her twenties, was found slain inside the unit and one suspect has been taken into custody.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan’s office released a brief statement about the case.
“Investigators with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Waltham Police Department have responded to a building at 204 Clocktower Drive where a body has been found,’’ the statement read. “The case is believed to be a homicide.’’
The District Attorney also said that the suspect is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
Law enforcement officials have not yet released the names of the deceased woman or the person in custody. They also have not given many details about the crime.
WBZ-TV reported that the victim has two children.
Waltham is located just over 10 miles away from Boston and is home to more than 60,000 residents.
