Officials in California are trying to take every precaution since the measles outbreak began last month at two Disneyland theme parks. Now, almost two dozen high school students have been told not to return to school.

The Huffington Post noted that 20 kids from Huntington Beach High School in Southern California have not been allowed to return to school until they get vaccinations against the disease.

When an Orange County student was diagnosed with measles earlier this month, the district, along with health officials, identified those who were not vaccinated and told them to stay home.

As previously reported, several cases of the measles that have been confirmed were traced back to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park between Dec. 15 and Dec. 20.

So far, around 70 people in several different states have been infected with the disease.

Schools are not the only places that are trying to keep those who are unvaccinated away.

On Thursday, health officials and Disneyland Resorts urged all those who have not been vaccinated to not visit the theme parks “for the time being.”
Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown added that it was "absolutely safe to visit if you're vaccinated."
