Counter superstar, Garth Brooks, has passed the King himself, Elvis, when it comes to solo album sales.
Rolling Stone reported that with his latest album Man Against Machine becoming platinum, this moves Brooks to the top of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) as the top-selling solo album artist of all-time.
Brooks took the top spot and surpassed Presley's current selling of 134.5 million unites. Brooks has sold over 135 million unites. This list is only taking into consideration sales that have taken place in the United States.
Even though Brooks took the top spot when it comes to solo album sales, he has long way to go before he reaches the all time champions, The Beatles. The U.K. supergroup is the most-certified act in RIAA history and has sold over 178 million units.
Brooks has been on the road in promotion of Man Against Machine and recently explained which song is his favorite to play live, NOLA reported. Turns out that "Callin' Baton Rouge" is his favorite to jam out live.
