After a great 2014, 2015 is certainly looking bright for Idina Menzel, too. The singer has been picked to perform the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLIX. Oscar nominated singer John Legend has been tapped to perform “America the Beautiful.”

NBC and the NFL made the announcement this morning. The league added that actress Treshelle Edmond was picked to perform sign language versions of both songs.

Menzel follows in the footsteps of a long line of superstars to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Last year, opera singer Renee Fleming sang the anthem. Other performers to get the honor in recent years include Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks.

Menzel became a household name in 2014 thanks to Frozen, in which she sang “Let It Go.” She also performed on Broadway in If/Then and is going on tour this summer.

As for Legend, he shares an Oscar nomination with Common for “Glory,” their song from Selma. In 2013, he released the hit album Love in the Future.

Super Bowl XLIX is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1 on NBC.
