At the iHeartMedia Music Summit on Wednesday, Kanye West made a surprise appearance and previewed music from his upcoming seventh album.
After Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels spoke a little bit, he announced, "I wanna stop this and turn it over to one of the great iconic rock stars of our time: Kanye West."
West then spoke for about 45 minutes about topics such as collaborating with Paul McCartney and the radio and previewed his collaboration with Rihanna.
Billboard reports at a point during his dialogue, he joked "This little talk I'm giving is going good so far, so I have to risk being Kanye.”
So when talking about being in awe of McCartney when he played a line of The Beatles’ “Come Together” on the bass, he recalled asking him “What was p---y like in the '60s?"
After talking about how their collaborative effort “Only One” came about – a freestyle session – he sang an a cappella version of it for the crowd.
Rolling Stone reports he also backtracked on previous comments he made about not wanting to be on the radio, saying, "I was joking! Of course I want to be on the radio!"
