Korn and Slipknot, after kicking off their Prepare for Hell European tour in Dublin, Ireland earlier this month, decided to play a song that's belongs to neither band. The heavy-metal bands presented their cover of the Beastie Boys' hit song "Sabotage" on the famous Wembley Arena stage in London on Friday.
As Rolling Stone reported, even though Korn's setlist didn't change during the first leg of their tour, they surprised everyone by playing the Ill Communications favorite. Jonathan Davis and company were joined by Slipknot's Corey Taylor, who helped provide vocals.
Korn hinted on their Instagram they were doing a cover, but were very unspecific about what they would be playing.
Korn, after the show, posted a clip of their performance on Twitter.
It's not clear why they performed this song, although Rolling Stone speculates it has something to do with the single dropping around the same time as Korn was recording their influential self-titled debut album. Currently, the Prepare for Hell tour is preparing for their next performance, which will be at the Capital FM Arena in Nothingham, U.K. Tour dates can be found on Slipknot's website.
