It’s official – Mariah Carey has confirmed her Las Vegas residency. It will be held at Caesars Palace, she announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
On Thursday’s show, Carey showed a segment she did in Vegas where she surprised unsuspecting fans by dressing up as housekeeping, in a French Maid’s costume nonetheless.
It was reported earlier this month that Carey was in the final stages of the deal. She was spotted in Vegas last week dining at the Cheesecake Factory in Caesars with her twins, Monroe and Moroccan, 3. She reportedly got it done during that trip.
Us Weekly reports Carey told fans she will be singing all 18 of her No. 1 hits, including “Hero,” “One Sweet Day,” “Emotions,” “We Belong Together” and “Fantasty.”
"Hopefully other people will enjoy this," she said. “I’ve never done this before. Some of these songs I’m like 'Really, I’m gonna do this again, okay?'"
Carey will join Britney Spears as another singer with a Vegas residency deal. Spears is at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
