Maroon 5 has pulled another track from their latest album, V and the new video will make everyone jealous of some really lucky Los Angeles brides.
The video for “Sugar” was filmed on Dec. 6 and starts with singer/guitarist Adam Levine announcing that they plan on driving around Los Angeles to visit any wedding party they spot. For the rest of the video, the group is shown performing the song to shocked brides and families who can’t beleive who showed up to play at their wedding.
Later, members of the group stop on the street to take a selfie with a group of fans.
A rep for the group told Entertainment Tonight that the grooms in each case did nknow that the band was coming to the party and it was up to them to keep it a surprsie for their brides.
“ They had stages set up for their actual wedding band already,” the rep said. “All we did was some simple continuity changes to match each one as best we could.”
The video was directed by David Dobkin, who coincidentally directed Wedding Crashers. It was filmed over the course of three days and the band traveled as much as 12 hours each day.
