Marvel is now at the point where they give us teasers for teasers for trailers for movies. Just a few days after showing us the ant-sized Ant-Man teaser for a longer teaser that will be shown during Agent Carter, the studio posted a human-sized version.
This close-up version does confirm that the insanely small version did show an image of Paul Rudd, who stars in the film as criminal Scott Lang.
Lang works with Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), the inventor of the Ant-Man shrinking technology, whose back is spotted in the teaser. There’s also a glimpse of House of Cards’ Corey Stoll, who plays the villain Yellowjacket.
Evangeline Lilly, who plays Hope Van Dyne, is also seen in two shots. In one, she’s slinking around a computer room, while in the other, she’s training. There’s also a shot of Ant-Man running... from something or someone.
Ant-Man is being directed by Peyton Reed and will be released on July 17. A longer teaser will be shown during Agent Carter, which premiers on ABC Tuesday at 8 p.m. with a two-hour episode.
