Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee announced over the weekend that he has hosted the last edition of his Fox News show. The Republican is expected to make another run for the Oval Office in 2016, but he said he hasn’t made a concrete decision just yet.

“It has been the ride of a lifetime, and I have never had so much fun in my life,” Huckabee wrote on Facebook of his time on Fox. “But I also realize that God hasn't put me on earth just to have a good time or to make a good living, but rather has put me on earth to try to make a good life.”

Huckabee said that he will decide about running for president until late spring 2015. However, he still decided the best thing to do for both himself and Fox would be to leave the network.

“The honorable thing to do at this point is to end my tenure here at Fox so I can openly talk with potential donors and supporters and gauge support,” Huckabee continued. “As much as I have loved doing the show, I love my country more, and feel that it may be time for me to leave a zone of comfort to engage in the conflicts that have almost destroyed the bedrock foundations of America.”

The Republican race for the White House is still taking shape, but if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush decides to run, he would become the frontrunner. On the Democrat side, Hillary Clinton is the frontrunner, but she has also not officially made her plans known.

Huckabee hosted his self-titled Huckabee show on Fox News for six and a half years. He was governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007 and ran for president in 2008, but lost the Republican nomination to Sen. John McCain.
