It may sound a bit crazy, but it’s also true. New Yorkers are flocking to Craigslist to try and find someone to cozy up to as the city braces for a major winter storm.
The National Weather Service has forecast that a blizzard could hit the Big Apple and dump anywhere from 2 to 3 feet of snow. And now, as the Business Insider noted, singles from the New York City area are flocking to the personal ads to find someone to get snowed in with.
Some New Yorkers fearing the impending storm could keep them inside for days are trying to curb cabin fever by checking the ads on Craigslist for those looking for the same thing.
Everyone from “snow bunnies" to “snow friends” and even “snow daddies,” have popped up on the site seeking someone to respond. And, the number of ads are continuing to grow rapidly.
So whether you’re looking for true love or just someone to um … watch the snowfall with, you may be able to find that person online. Isn't technology great?
