Before Parenthoods winter break, we were left with much suspense when Joel and Julia got back together, and when Zeek had a heart attack in the middle of the night. This week, the emotional rollercoaster continues and the suspense only alleviates as the final 4 episodes intensify.
Zeek is rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after his middle of the night heart attack at home. The Braverman's quickly arrive at the Emergency Room to comfort Camille. They are all panicked and worried about what might happen to Zeek. Joel brings everyone coffee.
Drew tries to hurry to the hospital but his car won't start. He is frantic and upset. Hank goes to pick up Drew after telling Sarah he wants to help her in any way he can. Sarah asks Hank to pick up her son, Drew, and so Hank drives Drew to the hospital.
Someone broke into The Luncheonette and stole all of the music studios equipment. The insurance company is writing a large check for the items missing. Adam tells Crosby they have enough money to walk away from The Luncheonette with $20,000 each. Adam wants to take the money and be done with the music studio, but Crosby is unsure. After talking to his wife, Jasmine, Crosby decides he wants to hang in there with the music studio. He doesn't want to give up on his dream just because of a rough year.
Drew tells Hank he messed up by ratting out his grandfather. Zeek trusted Drew, and Drew told Camille about Zeeks secret trip to Italy. Drew worries Zeek will only remember him ratting him out and not the good things they have done together. Hank comforts Drew and assures him that as a parent, parents do not hang on to any of that "bad" stuff.
The doctors say Zeek had a heart attack and he may need a second surgery. Zeek was soon rushed to the operating room after having another heart attack while in the hospital. The doctor inserts one of the stents and Zeek is stable. The Braverman children stay in Zeeks hospital room with him and reminisce on memories with their father.
The Doctor walks into the room and tells everyone that the stents were successful, but zeek is still getting fluid into his heart. Zeek is going to need surgery and a new heart valve.
Hank tells Drew that he wants to be there for Sarah. He doesn't want to be like one of the losers Sarah has dated in the past. Drew tells Hank he likes him most of all the men his mother has dated. Drew thanks Hank for being around.
Hank tells Sarah he doesn't want to be afraid anymore. Hank tells Sarah they should get married. He tells her that he wants "All in". Sarah is surprised. Hank asks if her lack of response means no, that she does not want to marry him. Sarah says they will talk about it late.
Zeek tells Camille he is unsure if he wants to have the operation. He does not want the kids to get involved.
Sarah throws Ambers baby shower in the hospital cafeteria, and each of the mothers read a page of parental advice they wrote for Amber.
