A middle school principal’s use of a parody of “Let It Go” to announce his school’s closing due to the snow storm Juno has gone viral.
Matt Glendinning made his own rendition of the Frozen song to announce Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island would be closed.
"The snow glows white on Route 95, not a tire track to be seen. We could make you come to school, but that would just be mean,” he sings to the tune of Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go,” all bundled up outside in his striped scarf, mitten and hat.
Today.com reports it’s not actually Gendinning’s singing voice – it’s the school choir director Justin Peters’.
Director of communications and community engagement Adam Olenn told WBUR radio in Boston, “I’ve seen a couple of funny principal snow day closings and I thought we could really crush that.”
He admitted it took them a week and a half to put it together. “On the one hand, it’s surprising. On the other hand, I hoped it would happen,” he continued of the video going viral.
