On the same day that movies were being celebrated in the U.S. with the Oscar nominations, music was the focus of awards in the U.K. On Thursday, the nominees for the Brit Awards were announced.

Sam Smith, who tied with Beyonce and Pharrell Williams for the most Grammys nominations with six, scored the most Brit Awards nominations. He is up for both fan-voted categories, British Video and British Breakthrough Act.

His other nominations include British Single (“Stay With Me”); Mastercard British Album (In The Lonely Hour); and British Male Solo Artist.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a music awards show without a chance to honor Taylor Swift or Beyonce, even if they aren’t British. The two are competing against St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey and Sia for International Female Solo Artist.

For fans of One Direction, they get to vote for their favorite group in the British Video category. They are also up for British Group.
