Steve Harvey was brought to tears on his show that aired on his birthday, where family and friends shared their love to him through sweet video messages.

On Friday, The Steve Harvey Show had some special surprises in store for the host, who is also an author and philanthropist, E! News reported. He turned 58 on Saturday.

During one moment in his birthday video, the host learned Cleveland’s mayor, where Harvey grew up, made a declaration that his birthday would be known as “Steve Harvey Day” and the street where Harvey grew up was renamed “Steve Harvey Way.”

Harvey’s sister, Mona, also appeared in the video standing outside their childhood home, with a special message to her brother telling him how proud their parents would have been.

He was also given a special surprise by author Alan Fox, who works to make sure children are educated. Fox made a donation to Harvey’s charity, the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation.

In addition to these guests, Harvey’s seven children also made special birthday wishes to their father.

The Inquisitr reported that after his children talked about their best moments with him, he told them, “This is my best TV moment. I’m not the person I used to be. It’s not about me anymore…I ain’t working for me. I’m working for them.”
