Students at an elementary school in Gustine, Texas were forced to expose their underwear during a school search on Monday after feces was found on the gym floor.

Parents believe the faculty went too far by making the children pull down their pants to be searched in front of their peers.

“I felt uncomfortable, and I didn't want to do it," 11-year-old student Eliza Medina told WFAA. “I felt like they violated my privacy."

The boys and girls were separated into groups, where they were told “to pull down their pants to check them to see if they could find anything,” Medina’s mother Maria, understandably upset by the search, said.

“I was furious... I mean, I was furious," Maria continued. "If you can't do your job or you don't know what you're doing, you need to be fired. You shouldn't be here."

After the students went home and reported what had happened to their parents, Superintendent Ken Baugh made a comment on the partial strip search.

“That's not appropriate, and we do not condone that,” he said. “So you would take disciplinary action."

He continued to say he wanted to investigate the situation further, as he was told they weren’t told to lower their pants too far.

It doesn’t matter to Maria Medina, who said, "Wrong is wrong.”

USA Today reports there’s a board meeting held Thursday night, where parents will show up and demand answers.
