Marvel and DC are planning on releasing comic book films through 2021 and beyond, so it is no surprise that is seems like everyone in Hollywood has taken a role in this growing genre. Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch has taken a role in Doctor Strange and Will Smith will be working with DC in David Ayer's upcoming Suicide Squad.
Even though these roles are being snatched up left and right, many of Hollywood’s top talent hasn't taken one, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Emily Blunt and Bryan Cranston. Will these famous actors and actresses end up in the Marvel cinematic universe or working with DC? What about in Fox's X-Men franchise or with Sony on Spider-Man? Only time will tell, but a few of these actors seem like a perfect fit for comic book roles.
In honor of everything comic book movie related, TheCelebrityCafe.com is counting down the top ten actors/actresses who have yet to be cast in a comic book film. From Johnny Depp to David Morrissey, hopefully they will be joining these expanding cinematic universes and bringing comic book pages to life on the big screen.

This choice might surprise some but Depp has proven that he is an incredible character actor. Put aside the crazy makeup and over the top outfits and look to roles like Blow and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Depp is a brilliant actor who becomes the character he is given.
Lately, it seems as though Depp has taken that too far, so why not let him try out a subtle comic book character that he could develop over a few films and build upon his character development? This might be an odd choice but could be a stepping stone for Depp to return to his true acting form.
