Azealia Banks, whose career is based mostly on her ongoing Twitter battles, has decided that the next best thing for her career is to strip nude for Playboy.
Banks posted an image of her Playboy shoot on Instagram, letting her fans know that she’s on the cover of the April issue. The magazine hits newsstands on March 20.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the photos were shot by Ellen Von Unwerth. Music critic Rob Tannenbaum conducted a “no-holds-barred” interview with Banks.
Banks has found a way to get her names in headlines, but usually not for her music or her album Broke With Expensive Taste. She has a real knack for getting into Twitter battles and bragged about her exit from her Universal Music Group deal in July.
This past December, Banks got into another vicious war of words with “Fancy” rapper Iggy Azalea, with Azalea calling her “poisonous.” Even Solange Knowles got into the fight, siding with Banks.
Banks’ music career took off in 2012, when the single “212” became a smash hit.
