First Beyonce takes over the music world, now it looks like she’s trying to take over nutrition. She and her trainer, exercise physiologist Marco Borges, announced today that their are launching the 22 Days Nutrition home delivery meal service.
If “22 Days” sounds a bit familiar to Beyonce fans, it should. In 2013, Queen Bey and her husband, Jay Z, took the 22 Days vegan challenge. They didn’t eat meat and kept their diet completely plant-based. The idea behind the challenge is that if you can make it 21 days and follow through on the 22nd, you will begin creating new habits.
Borges’ friends said that they loved his own recipes, which are low in fat, but filled with flavor. Now, the delivery service will bring these recipes to the subscribers’ doors so that don’t have to guess what’s right to eat and what’s wrong.
“I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example," Beyonce said in a statement. "He is the most energetic person I know and it's all because of his decision to live a healthy lifestyle. He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him."
"I am humbled by this incredible partnership and excited to share the many benefits of a whole-foods plant-based diet,” Borges added.
