In addition to both being Oscar nominees this year, Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone have another thing in common: they both star in writer/director Cameron Crowe's (Almost Famous) latest Aloha, which just had its first trailer debut.

People got the trailer. The film, something of a start-and-stop project for Crowe for years, finally comes to theaters on May 29 after initially being set for release on Christmas.

Aloha centers on a military contractor (Cooper) who blows an assignment for the military and returns to his old stopping grounds in Honolulu to oversee a weapon satellite launch, only to fall for an Air Force pilot (Stone) who tries to convince him to stop the launch. In addition to the two A-list Oscar nominees, Crowe's film also stars Rachel McAdams, Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin, John Krasinski, Danny McBride and Jay Baruchel.

Based on what's here, Aloha looks like your average cutesy Crowe crowdpleaser, with agreeable characters, breezy backdrops and a whole grain full of sugared-up sweetness. Based on previous reports leaked from Sony's emails about how poor the previously untitled film tested, however, it seemed Aloha was going to be a massive A-list failure. But if the eventual film is about as pleasant as this cheesy-but-charming trailer, thi new movie may turn out to be a forgettable but enjoyable film, much like Crowe's last feature We Bought a Zoo.

Aloha, after months of having no title, just got its name days ago. Crowe is already at work on his next project, a pilot for Showtime called Roadies which stars
Luke Wilson and Imogen Poots.
