Four dollars can be a lot to a high school student, so it’s understandable why Manuel Cobarubies of Stockton, California is a bit annoyed with KFC. He didn’t intend to get a chicken organ with his $4.

Manuel told Fox 40 that he tweeted to KFC earlier this month to tell them that he got more parts of a chicken in his meal than anticipated.

“(It looked) like a brain to me. I mean at that point, red flags were kind of raised,” the Stockton High School student told the station. “I ended up spitting it in the trash can because I get grossed out by that.”

Manuel said that his tweet was retweeted 226 times and KFC did actually contact him. However, they only apologized and woulnd’t give him his lunch money back.

Richard Ramos, a KFC area consultant, called Manuel after Fox 40 tweeted his story and told him that it was a gizzard or kidney, which would be safe to eat. Still, Manuel thought it was gross and did get his money back.

“I’m probably just going to have to start packing my own meals, making my own sandwiches,” Manuel told Fox 40.

Manuel might want to try KFC in the future though, especially if the new KFC Korea Double Down makes it to the U.S. Grub Street reports that the “Fire Double Maxx” has hot chili sauce and hot sauce on the two pieces of chicken.
