After months of going under the un-descriptive placeholder title The Untitled Cameron Crowe Hawaii film, the latest rom-com from the Almost Famous filmmaker, starring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, finally has an official title.
Exhibitor Relations revealed Crowe's film is officially titled Aloha. Coming to theaters on May 29, the new movie centers on a defense contractor (Cooper) who is sent to oversee a weapon satellite launch in Hawaii, but falls for an Air Force pilot (Stone) who tries to convince him to stop the launch. It also stars Bill Murray, Rachel McAdams, Jay Baruchel, Alec Baldwin, John Krasinski and Danny McBride.
Once set to be released on Christmas of last year, it got pushed back to its May release date this year back in July. Word on the new movie has been quiet for a good while, but according to some emails released in the Sony Hack, Crowe's new movie is not testing well, as reported by Gawker.
Whether or not this new movie is a hit or flop for Crowe, he's already hard at work on his next project. He is working on a new Showtime pilot Roadies, which stars Luke Wilson and Imogen Poots.
