When a Hollywood blockbuster doesn’t come out on its intended date, it usually means it has to be delayed. But Dwayne Johnson suggests that the release date for his Shazam movie could actually be moved up because it’s coming along so well.

In an interview with MTV News at the Oscars Sunday, Johnson said that the film may come “earlier than predicted” because the script is “coming in” and “it’s great.”

“It’s just a great opportunity, especially with Black Adam where you can take a guy who starts off as a bad guy, turns into an anti-hero, we can make him vicious, a little bit of winking charm,” Johnson added, notes Empire.

Johnson has been really, really pumped about making this movie, so it’s obvious that he will only have nice things to say about it. The movie isn’t scheduleduntil April 2019, so seeing it “earlier than predicted” just means the long wait might be a bit shorter.

Johnson also isn’t playing the title character. Instead, he will star as Black Adam, the villain. Shazam centers on Billy Batson, a young orphan who becomes DC Comics’ Captain Marvel when he yells “Shazam!” Recently, DC has decided to call Marvel “Shazam” just to avoid confusion with Marvel Comics’ own Captain Marvel. (Considering that Marvel is planning a movie with Captain Marvel, that was a good idea, even though DC’s Marvel has actually been around since 1940.)

Warner Bros. has yet to say who will play Shazam/Captain Marvel. There isn’t even a director attached yet.
