Florence + The Machine announced their return with a unique music video. It looks like the group, lead by singer Florence Welch, was clearly inspired by Sia’s recent videos.
The video for “How Big How Blue How Beautiful” hit the web today and it shows Welch and another person dressed like her dancing in an open amphitheater without anyone watching. It was directed by Tabitha Denholm and Vincent Haycock.
As for the song itself, it just starts with Welch singing the title. The rest of it is an instrumental, featuring horns. It sounds like the perfect fanfare to use to begin an album.
The group, best known for the hit “Dog Days Are Over,” is currently working on their third album. As MTV News points out, it will be their first release since 2011’s Ceremonials.
There’s no word on when the new album will be out, but they will likely be testing some new material during gigs at Coachella in April and Bonnaroo in June.
