HBO's Game of Thrones has become on the most popular shows on television and the show is looking to extend their reign into the music industry once again. HBO has announced that they will be releasing a follow up to the popular, Catch the Throne: The Mixtape: Volume 1.

HBO added that the second mixtape will feature chart topping artists such as, Method Man, Snoop Dogg and Yandel. The album will also feature a more rock driven influence with bands like Anthrax and Killswitch Engage adding to the soundtrack.
Rapper Snoop Dogg opened up about why he wanted to be a part of the soundtrack and explained that he wanted to engage with the fans of the popular show. "Off the top, I love Game of Thrones - I even gave my expert analysis of this season on my GGN show. It’s like the rap game, it's gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top. I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it," said Dogg.

Catch the Throne: The Mixtape: Volume 1 has been streamed over 2.5 million times to date and attracted a wide fan base. USA Today reported that the first mixtape featured Common, Big Boi and Daddy Yankee.
Game of Thrones will be returning on April 15th for its fifth season.
