Mad Men is coming to an end soon, but Warner Bros. plans to keep the spirit of the '60s alive this summer. They've revamped the beloved '60s television series The Man From U.N.C.L.E., with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer filling Robert Vaughn and David McCallum positions, repectively and Guy Ritchie seated in the director's chair, and the first trailer for the reboot has just hit the web.

Warner Bros. premiered the trailer, most likely in conjunction to the similarly-themed Kingsman: The Secret Service this Friday, despite the latter film released from 20th Century Fox. Even at a near three-minutes, this first trailer is pumped to the nines with action, explosions, one-liners and quick banter. While some may find it overbearing, there's no faulting this promo for a lack of energy.

It's easy to see where Ritchie has placed his signature fast-paced techniques in the feature, even if some scenes, like the opening car chase, look a little cartoonish and bring back bad memories of Warner Bros.' failed blast-from-the-past attempt Gangster Squad from 2013. At the very least, it doesn't quite look like what Steven Soderbergh would have done with the property, who once saw the film as a possible reunion between him and frequent star George Clooney before his "retirement." He dropped the film not long after Clooney exited the feature.

Also once set to lead the film was Tom Cruise, but he dropped out in May of 2013. Cavill replaced him. Additionally, The Man From U.N.C.L.E was, at one time, set to be released on January 16, a.k.a. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but it got bumped back to August.

Needless to say, it's been a bumpy road for this adaptation, but things look as though they've come together just fine. Audiences, of course, will have to find that out for themselves this summer.
