Considering the success of Fifty Shades of Grey, it would be absolutely crazy for actor Jamie Dornan to leave the franchise. But for a brief moment, there was a rumor out there that he was walking away from the role of Christian Grey.

An Australian tabloid called NW started a rumor that Dornan wasn’t going to make the sequel because his wife, Amelia Warner, didn’t like the film’s BDSM material and explicit sex.

But a rep for the actor told E! News and Gossip Cop said that the rumor was complete bunk.

“All press reports are pure conjecture as the studio has not committed to a sequel as yet,” the rep said.

It is true that, while the film has grossed over $280 million worldwide, Universal has yet to officially greenlight a sequel based on E.L. James’ second Fifty Shades, Fifty Shades Darker. There are even rumors that James is trying to write the scripts for Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

Fifty Shades of Grey also stars Dakota Johnson and was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. The book was adapted by Kelly Marcel.
