You can already get ice tea with golf legend Jack Nicklaus’ face on the can. Now, you will soon be able to get ice cream with his face on the carton.
Nicklaus, also known as the Golden Bear, has a well-known weakness for ice cream, so he is teaming up with Schwan Food Company to bring his favorite flavors to fans. The partnership was announced on Wednesday.
“It’s no secret that I love ice cream,” Nicklaus said in a statement. “Needless to say, I have never had so much fun in the research and development of a product. The team at Schwan has a world-class product development center. Together, we have created a variety of flavors—all with real ingredients—for a quality, premium ice cream at a value price.”
The pint-size ice cream will be available for just $1.99 and there are seven flavors - Warm Spiced Butter Pecan, Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, Salted Caramel Toffee, Strawberry Lemonade, Triple Chocolate, Coffee and Donuts, and Homemade Vanilla. They will be available at Winn Dixie, Bi-Lo and Kroger stores.
Nicklaus isn’t doing this just to get his face on more products. It’s really about philanthropy, as Schwan will support Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, which helps families get the pediatric healthcare they need.
“Jack’s whole life is synonymous with excellence, family, and charity and our new collaboration with Schwan embodies all three values in a hand-picked selection of delicious ice cream flavors that also supports children’s healthcare,” Nicklaus Companies Co-Chairman Howard Milstein said. “What could possibly taste better?”
Nicklaus, 75, won 18 major golf championships during his career.
